Our ancient seers had acknowledged the fact that the life in the cosmos exists because of the Sun. They came up with a unique way to honor the Sun which was through ‘Surya Namaskar’. The different mantras related to these asanas are;<br /> <br />2 The first asana in Surya Namaskar is Pranamasana and the mantra for this asana is “Om Mitraaya Namaha”<br /> <br />3 The second asana is Hasta Uttanasana where we stand with our arms raised. The mantra related to this asana is “Om Ravaye Namaha”.<br /> <br />4 After this, we have Hasta Padasana that is also called hand-foot pose and the mantra for this one is “Om Suryaya Namaha”.<br /> <br />5 Next in the list is Ashwa Sanchalanasana and the mantra associated with it is “Om Bhaanave Namaha”.<br /> <br />6 After that, we perform Dandasana along with which we recite this mantra, “Om Khagaya Namaha”.<br /> <br />7 And then we do Ashtanga Namaskara while chanting “Om Pooshne Namaha”.<br /> <br />8 Then comes Bhujangasana and the mantra that goes with it is “Om Hiranya Garbhaya Namaha”.<br /> <br />9 The eighth asana is Parvatasana also known as Mountain pose. And the mantra that we should chant while performing it is “Om Mareechaye Namaha”.<br /> <br />10 Next again is Ashwa Sanchalanasana and this time the hymn chanted with it is “Om Aadityaaya Namaha”.<br /> <br />11 Then we again do Hasta Padasana, along with which we chant “Om Savitre Namaha”.<br /> <br />12 Hasta Uttanasana is the eleventh asana in Surya Namaskar and the mantra we need to chant with it is “Om Arkaaya Namaha”.<br /> <br />13 Last but definitely not the least is Tadasana also called Palm Tree pose.
